What does a GPU do?A graphic processing mainly does one job... control computer graphics. One may ask why is a seperate part of the computer needed to do this and not just the CPU. The reason behind this is that most programs being created today are so graphicly intensive that the CPU can't handle it all. In some low-end laptops and netbooks the GPU is intergrated into the system. What this means is that the card is put into the motherboard allowing for less space to be taken but it greatly decresess the power of the device.
